Read books related to the above mentioned careers. You can have a read aloud for storybooks such as Ms Bintergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten, Clifford the firehouse dog, Officer Buckle and Gloria, Bear at Work, etc. Or if you’d like, use Brainpopjr: Community Workers (technology standard applied). Have the students discuss the roles of each kind of community worker. You may use the foldable booklets to isolate each community worker’s role or the foldable booklet that has three workers together.
Provided is the inside questions for the foldable booklets if teacher chooses or have their own line of information to be filled into the blank template, it is for that reason it is labeled “write the title.”
