This packet contains activities that focus on distinguishing between the uses of the verb estar, to ask/say how you feel, and to ask/say where you are. Students will become familiar with the first and third person singular forms of estar as they contemplate the context. Are they writing about feelings or locations? Do they recognize the question words and understand how to respond to them?
I have created 2 worksheets and 2 vocabulary sheets (1 for emotions and 1 for locations). The first worksheet asks students to create their own sentences based upon the questions which precede the incomplete sentences, ¿Cómo está(s)? or ¿Dónde está(s)?, using the word/phrase bank provided. The second worksheet asks students to fill in the appropriate form of the verb estar: Estoy o está.
