This companion sheet to the book "Making Cents" by Elizabeth Robinson includes pictures of the items from the hardware store and the price of each item. Students are then given different amounts of money (all $1.00 or under) to "spend" in the store. For each amount, they must show two different ways they could spend the money. (For example, 50 cents could buy 4 pencils and 2 wood screws, or it could buy 50 penny nails.)
