Place value is pretty fun to teach and learn, but when it comes time to comparing them....well, that's a different story.
This set of 32 task cards is perfect for those students who have mastered identifying place value, but still struggle with the tasks and word problems associated with comparing different place values in a variety of ways. These task cards can be used for whole group review, to play a game of SCOOT, a variety of Kagan Cooperative Learning strategies, or in small group centers or interventions.
Recording sheet and answer key included.
Questions were worded to mirror those that will be seen on Common Core aligned state exams, particularly the upcoming PARCC and SBAC.
While they are intended to meet 4th grade standards, they are a great challenge for high 3rd graders, and the perfect intervention to develop place value sense for struggling 5th graders.
Prints well in color AND black and white to save on ink!
