This unit of PowerPoint and worksheets build on the introductory unit ‘Comparative Texts – an introduction’. It begins by looking at two film clips to generate an awareness of how comparisons can be built. This is represented graphically in the worksheets. Text extracts are then given and finally a generic look at two complete texts. The aim is to build a complete comparative essay and students are taken through several models that enable them to explore not just the texts but the approaches that can be taken when building a response.
