In the first part of this activity, students ask a partner to give them names (ex: "Give me two boys in this class"...."Give me two actors"....). They write down who their partner gives them.
In the second part of the activity, students use those names to complete comparative sentences with adverbs and a "si clause" structure. For example, if the two names my partner gave me were Arnold Schwarzenegger and Beyoncé, I'd have to plug those into a "si clause" sentence, and the sentence might look something like this:
"Si _____________ et _____________ faisaient partie d'une compétition de danse, _____________ danserait ___________ que ____________."
And I might fill that out to read: ""Si Beyoncé et Arnold faisaient partie d'une compétition de danse, Beyoncé danserait mieux qu'Arnold."
When everyone is done, I go through each sentence and have volunteers read funny ones.
