Students use CIA WorldFactbook data to complete a comparison chart of the US and Russia. US statistics are already provided for the students but could be removed if desired. Students find data related to area, climate, resources, land use, languages, religions, population, life expectancy, government, unemployment, GDP, and internet users.
After completing the chart, students are asked to write a paragraph comparing the United States to Russia. They can choose which statistics to include.
Key for the statistics is included; however, stats may change as CIA Worldfactbook updates its site.
