This PowerPoint slideshow will help your students compare and contrast two different characters or action. Students analyze two images (a ladybug and Japanese beetle, a doctor and firefighter, a fish and whale, a cat and a dog) to determine three ways in which they are the same and three ways in which they are different. After the students share their ideas, the next slide provides three answers.
Each comparison is based on a funny .gif image and the entire slideshow is fully animated (just click on the arrow to advance to the next slide). This lesson is perfect for whole-class instruction, and you can place it on student-computers for independent review.
