Use this foldable that is densely packed with student information and responses to literature to assess your students' abilities to understand and analyze popular holiday children's literature.
This product includes:
1. Step by step directions with pictures to help assemble your foldable. Access to large white construction paper is necessary and will require minimal prep.
2. Student recording graphic organizers to be copied and cut for student use.
3. A grading rubric.
4. 6 colorful student choice task cards with varied culminating "choice projects" to help students demonstrate their understanding. These choice cards promote student individuality, differentiation and autonomy.
This foldable has taken me 1-2 weeks each year depending on the group of students. This includes time to read both stories and deeply analyze their content while filling out the foldable. This is a great way to spend your Reading block up to those final days before winter break! My students love completing the project. Their engagement is exciting!
Please use with this accompanying product so students have a copy of the story to help in citing textual evidence:
Extend it with Bloom's Taxonomy for A Christmas Carol
