Product Description
Based on the "Who Would Win?" book title, this resource has been designed to work as either a stand-alone piece or to work in conjunction with informational resources that pertain to the two animals that are subjects of the comparison activity. The intended objective is to enhance student understanding for comparing and contrasting important points and key details in two pieces of informational topics as per the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). It can be used as both a direct instruction activity or as skill practice for students in either an independent setting or a small-group literacy station/reading center.

The purchased document contains articles for each animal as well as information cards which can be sorted according to the pertaining categories. The sentences are similar, but NOT IDENTICAL to those presented in the corresponding text.

The cards can be cut and used by each student or printed on cardstock, laminated, and used cooperatively by a small group prior to the student completing a corresponding activity.
