The purpose of this five page note-taking packet is to point students in the correct direction when it comes to conceptualizing similarities and differences from the most important aspects of The Great Gatsby. They can use these notes as evidence of understanding while reading and watching the movie. I suggest checking over parts of it throughout the reading and watching process to give credit to students for keeping good notes. I usually stamp parts/pages throughout the process so students know they are being held accountable and turn it in at the end. This is a unit in progress for me; however, if you buy this I also have vocabulary and introductory materials that I can offer you for free, just ask.
