This is a gradual release, scaffolded set of worksheets for students. Students learn and practice the steps needed to be able to compare unlike fractions and mixed numbers. Students find the Least Common Multiple (LCM), convert unlike fractions to equivalent like fractions, and place the fractions in order. The first problem does most of the steps. Gradually the student does more and more of the problem. By the end of the activity the student does all the steps on their own. This is a great activity for an inclusion classroom because of the gradual release of responsibility to the student for solving the whole problem.
