Set of Narrowing the Gap cards (cut apart)
How to Play
• Remove the -1 and 1 from the stack. Place them on opposite sides of each other, approximately 18 inches apart from one another. This will be your “number line”.
• Shuffle the remaining cards and deal out 6 cards to each player. Do not show your cards to other players, but you can look at them. Each player takes a turn placing the cards on the number line, ATTACHING it to the number it is closest to. (Once a card is attached, no other cards can be placed between that one and the one it is attached to.)
• If no card in your hand can be played between the two innermost cards, you must draw from the pile and lose a turn.
• Your goal is to narrow the gap for your opponent but not yourself!
How to Win
The player who is out of cards first (or has the fewest number of cards in their hand at the end of the game) wins the game.
