This Compare / Contrast Worksheet is titled "Rabbits and Hares, Different but Alike." The first page is 5 paragraphs of information comparing and contrasting the two animals. The next two pages have 20 questions. The first 6 are fill-in the blanks with words or sentences found in the selection. With the next 14 questions, students answer with rabbit, hare, or both. Reading comprehension skills include identifying details, drawing conclusions, relating causes and effects, and of course comparing and contrasting. The fourth page is a Venn diagram form that you can have your students fill out with similarities and difference that they found in the selection. Immediately preceding the blank Venn Diagram, is a partially completed one, which you can project and explain so the children start off on the right track in filling out their Venn Diagrams. With the worksheet you get a nice drawing of a rabbit, and one of a hare. This worksheet makes a great reading comprehension lesson or can serve as a science lesson. The fifth page is the answer key. The worksheet is one that you can easily print off and is easily edited if needed. I think both you and your students will like it! You might want to use it along with some of my other TPT products that feature Comparing and Contrasting.
