I find that using the Pearson ERPI textbook for Geography in French Immersion provides a good start, but I need to supplement to ensure understanding. This product includes 3 different leveled versions of a 2-page cloze passage I provided to my students to complete (in pairs or groups if you wish) following a reading of the section titled “Comparer les niveaux de développement” on pages 52-56 of this student textbook, on Human Development Index & what contributes to this indicator of quality of life in various countries.
There is a full answer key provided for all three versions (as I rewrote the text completely to add detail and focus on key concepts, elements and explanations. It is NOT simply extracted from the text) as well as suggested pre-reading activities & post-correction discussion questions for a complete 3 part lesson, as well as an extension for an inquiry-based social studies classroom.
