Product Description

This resource can be used when teaching students how to compare two-digit numbers. With the CCSS, there is a need to deepen students’ understanding of comparison by connecting it to place value. This resource aims to do just that!

For each set of numbers, students first draw each number using tens and ones. They then write how many tens and how many ones are in each number. Once students have done this, they use the greater than sign, less than sign, or equal sign to compare the numbers.

For the last two pages, students are asked to write how they know that their answer is correct. This is when you can really dive into how we can use the number of tens and ones to compare two-digit numbers.

I hope you enjoy this resource!
