There are 33 number cards that each have 3 digits. There are also 2 cards with a > or a <. Print the cards and board and laminate. Students will pick a card and place it under the card 1 spot. Then they will pick another card and place it under card 2. They need to look at the numbers and decide if they should put the apple with the > in the middle or the apple with the < in the middle of the 2 numbers. They they will record their number sentence on the recording sheet.
If you want to use it as a game, you can have player 1 pick a card and place it on card 1. Player 2 picks the next card and puts it on card 2. They will decide who has the bigger number and use the correct middle apple. Whoever has the bigger number wins the game.
