You have heard of comparing Apples to Oranges and NOW you will learn all about comparing Apples to Mangos!
This game is intended to provide meaningful practice to reinforce TEKS 6.4A which is comparing Additive and Multiplicative Patterns verbally, numerically, graphically and symbolically.
Each question that the students will encounter encompasses and reinforces this standard.
I have not separated the tables or graphs based on type because it is imperative that students be able to look at a table or graph and determine if it is an additive or multiplicative pattern.
I have referred to Additive Patterns as Apples and Multiplicative Patterns as Mangos. This is to provide a way for students to remember the two different types of patterns encountered here.
You can have students play this together in a station or as a whole class activity. You could also use this game as a re-teaching tool in a small group activity or in tutoring.
