Comparing Aztec and Mayan cultures to today’s U.S. culture

In the lesson, Comparing Aztec and Mayan cultures to today’s U.S. culture, students will explore and investigate the ancient Aztec and Mayan cultures and how they continue to influence contemporary Latin American and U.S. culture.

Students will:
1) Understand and identify ways in which the Mayan and Aztec cultures have influenced Latin American culture.
2) Conduct research to build knowledge about Mayan and Aztec history and culture.
3) Create a project using new knowledge about the Aztecs, Mayans and Latin Americans.
