Created by master teacher Brenda Kovich, these activities are classroom-tested and kid-approved. Click the PREVIEW button to take a peek at the entire product.

*Cinderella Folklore - The teacher selects several stories and reads them aloud then the class compares and contrasts the stories orally.

*Folklore Versus Parody - Students learn to discriminate between folklore and parody. A worksheet asks them to determine whether a story is based on folklore or parody.

*Cinderella Parody - The teacher selects and reads Cinderella parody aloud. Again the students compare and contrast the stories they’ve heard.

*Common Elements in Cinderella Stories - Students collaborate to identify elements common to Cinderella stories. They continue reading additional stories and analyze elements using a table.

*Cinderella Around the World - Students sort Cinderella folklore geographically and list similarities of stories found on the same continent. (This may be used as a differentiation piece for high ability learners or with the whole class.)
