Product Description
8 graphic organizers, 6 headers and 6 features of text (3 for non-fiction, 3 for fiction) cards that can be used in a classroom display or on a large Venn diagram.

Click here for more first grade ELA activities!

The headers and features of text display words are provided in both color and black and white to save on ink. Print on card stock and laminate for durability.

Possible answer examples are provided for the two ‘cut-and-paste’ activities.

These activities can be adapted for upper and lower grades and can be used as a ‘hook’ to get students thinking about what makes a book fiction or non-fiction.

Kindergarten teachers will need to model and guide the students in using any of the cut and paste sheets.

For differentiation limit the number of clues the children are given to glue down on the Venn diagram and the book shelves.
