Specifically, this pack emphasizes multiple methods for comparing fractions, including the three strategies emphasized by The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, NCTM: common numerators, common denominators, and fraction benchmarks.

Understanding fractions is typically one of the most challenging math skills for students and adults alike. The purpose of this series is to help students build a strong foundation for comparing fractions through exploring the use of a variety of methods to make the comparisons. These explorations will provide students with the opportunity to think more deeply about the meaning of fractions and the relationship between them.
