I love that this is a spin on a game students already know how to play, it makes it so much easier for them to catch on to how to play.
My students loved this game! I inserted the game boards into clear sheet protectors and gave the students dry erase markers. Great activity!

Description
Comparing fractions can be a very tricky skill and students often need lots of practice to master it. These game boards are a perfect alternative to a worksheet.
Students are asked to come up with a fraction that is either greater than or less than a given fraction. Then they can write the fraction on the game board. The first person with three fractions in a row is the winner.
The game is easy to differentiate in your classroom. I have included 9 different boards: 1/2, 1/3, 2/3, 1/4, 3/4, 1/6, 1/8 and 2 blank boards that you can write in any fraction that you wish.
Whenever my students are playing games on their own, I like to have a way to hold them accountable for good work. Therefore, I have also included a recording sheet that students can fill out as they play.
