This is a game pack of cards to use for comparing fractions and decimals. There are several different games you can play with this deck:
1. Memory (matching) of decimals and fractions (ex. 1/10 and 0.1).
2. Memory (matching) of equivalent decimals or equivalent fractions (0.1 and 0.10 or 1/10 and 10/100).
3. Greatest to least: students will put the cards in order from least to greatest OR greatest to least (mix up your directions to keep them on their toes).
4. Go fish: Deal out 5 cards to each student in the group. Students will take turns asking another player for a specific card (“Abby, do you have any one tenths?). If that student has that card, they hand the card over. If not, they tell the asker to “Go fish”. If the player “gets their wish”, they can go again. At the end, the player with the most matching sets wins.
The deck contains fractions in tenths, and hundredths. It also contains decimals in tenths and hundredths. There is a blank page of cards so you can add your own and directions for 4 different ways to use the cards.
