A simple worksheet that I designed to allow children to work on comparing their group sizes with ten frames and without. This scaffolds for the students to slowly work away from counting with ten frames and being able to count freely. Our students crossed out the objects not in ten frames to know which ones that they had already counted. One side is to find the bigger group and the other side is problems to find the smaller group. We found that it worked better if the students circled with a highlighter or just starred whichever group. Could be used at a math center! But this was a follow up to my lesson.
