In this activity, students are given linear equations representing two bugs in a race. They graph the equations and answer questions that follow.
The questions ask students to think about speed, who wins the race, and what happens when the lines cross. This is great activity to encourage thinking about different slopes and to introduce systems of equations.
You will receive a PDF of the 2-page handout along with an answer key.
