This is a fully differentiated lesson aimed at teaching Physics: Generating Electricity. Within this double lesson, students will start to understand the importance of producing energy through a range of different means.

This lesson has 5 learning objectives that are structured in the IDEAL format:

*Identify energy production as renewable or non renewable.

*Describe the importance of using renewable sources of energy.

*Explain the advantages and disadvantages of both renewable and non renewable energy production.

*Apply your understanding of start up time to explain why we still have a need for different types of energy production.

*Link the use of renewable energy sources to the use of non renewable energy sources to explain how energy might be produced in the future.

This lesson is designed with a challenge objective and challenge questions throughout to stretch your most able students, whilst supporting your LA students.
