I created this center as additional practice for my students. This exposes students to comparing numbers with a wide variety of representations and pushes flexible thinking in mathematics.
This can be used as a center for reviewing the concept of comparing numbers. This can also be used during intervention time and is something a group of students can do independently. I recommend cutting out the cards, printing on card stock and labelling them for re-use.
Rules: Have students lay out the greater than, less than and equal to signs. Then, put the rest of the cards in a pile. Students draw two cards and put the appropriate comparison symbol in between the cards.
