This packet is designed to help students master CCSS 2.NBT.A.4: Compare two three-digit numbers based on meanings of the hundreds, tens and ones digits, using <, =, and > symbols to record the results of comparisons.
This pack includes 48 task cards that can be used for sorting activities, partner work and/or Scoot games. The cards are presented in 2 levels: Comparing Two Digit Numbers and Comparing Three Digit Numbers.
To aide with organization, each set of cards is presented on a different black and white background. (See contents page.)
For partner work, I have kids take turns choosing a card and writing the <, = or > sign on the answer sheet. If needed, they can also “prove it” using manipulatives. Once they have come to an agreement, they write their answer on the recording form. When they have completed the set, they use the answer sheet to check their work.
Greater Than, Less Than or Equal sorting mats are included.
I hope you find this packet helpful! : ) Anne Gardner, Common Core Connection
