Product Description
This is a fun kindergarten math station activity with a Christmas theme for students to compare numbers to see if they are greater than, less than or equal to another number.

Use as a stand-alone product, or as a companion math station to Comparing Numbers: Greater Than, Less Than, Equal To: Kindergarten (KCC6, KCC7).

Students pick an ornament card and take a corresponding amount of 'light' manipulatives (or use counters, sparkly pom-poms or popcorn). They place the manipulatives on the first Christmas tree, and repeat taking another card and placing the correct amount of manipulatives on the second tree. The student then needs to decide which symbol goes in between the trees, and records with the greater than/less than/ equal to symbols provided. Students can then record their answer by writing the numbers on the trees and drawing the correct symbols between the trees.

Some blank ornaments are included for you to draw your own dots or higher numbers.

This product is designed to be used in a home/school setting, a kindergarten and first grade setting, for remediation, math groups and assessment purposes.

This activity meets the kindergarten common core standards:
Compare numbers-
K.CC6. Identify whether the number of objects in one group is greater than, less than, or equal to the number of objects in another group, e.g., by using matching and counting strategies.1
K.CC7. Compare two numbers between 1 and 10 presented as written numerals.
