I made these Comparing Numbers (greater than/less than) and Rounding Practice sheets to correlated perfectly with the rigor of second grade's Place Value unit test. I designed them with the intention to add them in as "check-ups" (aside from all the hands-on centers, games, and other independent activities I have incorporated into my unit). The questions are multiple choice and are designed to have the kiddos really apply what they have learned.
- The first page has the kiddos deciding which multiple choice is true, in terms of comparing different numbers. There are 8 total problems on the first page.
Example: 1. Which is true?
A. 231 < 123
B. 115 > 105
C. 368 < 358
- The second page mimics the first page, but with different problems and numbers being compared.
- The third page is basic rounding practice. There are 8 questions
Example: 1. What is 45 rounded to?
-The fourth page has the kids thinking about which two whole numbers a specific number falls in between. There are 8 questions.
Example: 1. Twenty seven comes between which 2 tens?
A. 10 and 20
B. 20 and 30
C. 30 and 40
- The fifth page mimics page 4, but with different numbers to consider.
