Product Description
Do your students have a hard time distinguishing between the "greater than" and "less than" symbols like mine do? Do they know which one is which but struggle with how to read it? With this activity they will practice their addition facts with a partner (up to the sum of 20) while graphing both sums on a number line, comparing them with a symbol, and writing a sentence comparing the sums. Students compete to see who can draw the higher sum the most times in ten rounds. (A recording sheet and cards are also included that just have the numbers from 0-20 on them - no addition required!)

If there is one thing I love, it is math games. Something I love even more is a way for students to record their answers while playing a math game! This gives me a way to take a grade if I choose, and it gives me documentation of a student's understanding. A recording sheet also helps me check for understanding as I travel around the room while students play. This product includes a recording sheet for playing with the number cards and another slightly different sheet for playing with the addition cards.
