This graphic organizer helps students compare two versions of the same story. These allow them to demonstrate their understanding of each story, compare specific aspects of the stories, and aligns to 2nd grade common core standards. Rather than a venn diagram, which students just compare any aspect of the story they want, this graphic organizer allows them to compare specific aspects of one story to the related aspect in the second story. This file includes a graphic organizer with blank spots at the top for you to choose whichever two stories you would like your students to compare. I have also included a few of these organizers with specific stories listed and a blank left for you to fill in the other version you are comparing. The stories used are : Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, and The Three Little Pigs. Your students will love comparing two versions of their favorite stories. This is a great assessment tool as well. You can clearly see if your students are able to compare two versions of the same story and if they have met the common core standard.
