Wild About Three Digit Numbers
Greater Than, Less Than, and Equal To.
All of the activities in this math packet are very student centered. They are not about what the teacher is doing rather what the students are doing. Enjoy
-Student friendly I can statement
-Roll and Record Three Digit Math Game
Each student needs one di and a worksheet to create and compare their own three digit numbers.
-Animal Themed Three Digit Number Cards
Each student needs a sandwich baggie or an envelope to hold their number cards. Be sure to save the number cards. They will be handy for when you are teaching adding or subtracting three digit numbers. There are a number of things you can do with these cards. Be creative and have fun with them. I had the students work in pairs. Each pulled a card from their bag at the same time to compare numbers and earn points. They also worked independently to create their own greater than, less than, and equal to number sentences.
I used both of these activities daily while teaching this standard. The kids loved the consistency and knew exactly what to do.
I used the Comparing Three Digit Numbers sheets as pre/post assessments but they can be used any way fit.
