Fun station for my summer school kiddos. Used it during rainforest week so they loved the little animals. :)

This is a rainforest animal themed small group task card math activity with a twist, for practicing or reviewing comparing three-digit numbers; perfect for second grade or the beginning of third grade. This resource includes one set of 24 task cards, in color and black/ gray/ white. Students compare the two numbers and write the symbol or the words on their recording sheets. The task card set includes three copies of eight different images of rainforest animals. Students pick a card and find the matching image on their recording sheet. They write the symbol or words to compare their two numbers. Who can be the first to color all eight images? There are two recording sheets along with answer keys, in black/ white or red. I have also included a comparison mat to be used with base ten blocks and comparison sheets to draw or color base ten blocks, to provide support for student learning. This activity is ideal for intervention or resource groups as well as independent math centers.
