PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This kindergarten lesson plan focuses on standards RL.1.3, RL.3.7, and RL.3.9. The essential question of this lesson plan has students reflecting on why sometimes we want to be something we're not. Using Elmer and The Mixed-Up Chameleon students will use the illustrations to gain a better understanding of the text, and compare and contrast who each book touches upon the same topic (both animals are unhappy with who they are and want to be someone they're not). Guided questions are included that address the standards in this five day lesson plan.
