In this companion to my Comparing and Contrasting Interactive Notebook set I have created an Craft activity that I use with my students anytime of year, not just Halloween or Valentines day. It is set up to be used to guide them into how to compare and contrast effectively. The learning is scaffolded and slowly build upon each other so students can eventually on their own compare and contrast in depth. I have included student examples and pictures that my students created during this unit.
In this resources is a cut and paste when students cut and match the facts about the two monster presented based on their characteristics.
Then their is a sheet with two different monsters where students come up with their own reason of how the monsters are alike and different.
The last is a cumulative project that the students can create and then work with a partner on to compare and contrast monsters hey have created themselves as a Craftivity. This is perfect for a bulletin board to show case student work.
