Product Description
This printable packet is a very useful resource for any classroom that is learning about comparing and ordering decimals. The printables in this packet are great options for classroom grades, homework, review or a as a unit assessment covering this topic!

Included in this printable packet you will find:

1. Comparing Decimals: A ten question worksheet with place value aids to help get your students off on the right track when comparing decimals. Using the visual aids on this sheet will help them see that when they line up their two numbers perfectly, it is often easier to see which multi-digit number has a greater value. There are also six more inequality questions comparing greater than, less than or equal to as well as a real world word problem.

2. Ordering Decimals: This seven question worksheet or homework page can be used as a great visual aid, with a four level decimals place value chart that the students can use to visually observe how decimals can be ordered when written vertically above or below one another. The first three include visual aids while the last four questions allow for the student to practice without the visual aid, although some students may decide to use scratch paper anyways when they see how much easier it is to order decimals when they are written in a vertical format.

3. Compare and Order Decimals Practice: Students will practice comparing and ordering decimals and reiterate the skills they have already learned in class in this twelve question printable.

4. Comparing and Ordering Decimals Review: Students will further review concepts learned in this unit by doing more inequalities for comparing and ordering decimals and even apply previous knowledge to comparing three decimals at once with an inequality sequence. Furthermore, students will test their knowledge with ordering decimals when they are given information about a toy car race with eight students competing. Students will apply previous knowledge in the concept to order the students from first place to last in this activity.

5. Comparing and Ordering Decimals Assessment (page 1): In this 18 question assessment, students will test their knowledge in this concept of comparing and ordering decimals when they compare two or three decimals with each other, and order six different groups of multi-digit numbers from greatest to least or least to greatest.

6. Comparing and Ordering Decimals Assessment (page 2): Students will finish this 18 question assessment with four word problems applying their knowledge of comparing and ordering decimals to the real world around them.

7. Center Activity / Groupwork - Ready, Set: Rocket Race: In this center activity or groupwork activity, students will work together to determine which students in Mr. Thomas’ class built the best rocket by comparing 22 students and the hang time that their model rocket had in class. This will require constructive and higher order thinking skills as well as teamwork in your classroom and makes for a great culminating activity to this topic in your classroom unit.
