This lesson/activity gives students lots of opportunities to relate decimals to money. Students find equivalent money values for decimals. For example, .4 is worth $.40. In some cases, students must round to the nearest penny. For example, .375 is approximately $.38.
In the culminating activity, students must cut out 16 decimal cards and put them in order from least to greatest.
