What educators are saying

Great visual for the students. The foldable had enough space for students to graph and convert the numbers.
This was a great way to show students how to convert each number to a decimal and plot on a numberline to determine the order

Description

This mini foldable provides the perfect introduction to comparing and ordering real numbers. Inside the foldable, students will need to rewrite each of the numbers as decimals, for easy comparison. Then, they will need to graph them on the number line.

Works great in interactive notebooks!

Use rational approximations of irrational numbers to compare the size of irrational numbers, locate them approximately on a number line diagram, and estimate the value of expressions (e.g., π²). For example, by truncating the decimal expansion of √2, show that √2 is between 1 and 2, then between 1.4 and 1.5, and explain how to continue on to get better approximations.
