Does the cost of a college education vary greatly between states? This is the question that your students will answer and defend. Students will choose 2 states to compare, then collect the raw data needed to perform their calculations. They will then find the mean, median, standard deviation, variance, and 5 number summary for each state. Students will create a histogram and frequency table for each state and discuss the shape and spread of the data. Finally, they will create a double box and whisker plot and state the similarities and differences between their two chosen states. I had my students create all graphs digitally. Rubric is included .
