The United States has existed just over 230 years. This is a relative brief time as compared to other countries or empires. Its government is unique in both its development and in the way it functions as the world’s greatest representative democracy. As the founding fathers incorporated many of its ideas of government from the best thinkers of its day. Those thinkers wrote them directly into the laws of the land, creating a whole new vocabulary to describe these ideas.

This presentation contains 15 vocabulary words for the student to master. The assignment is to review each of the vocabulary words and be able to compare the constitutions of the United States and the State of Florida.
