Sage and Scribe Activity
Sage: Genius → the student who is verbally describing the image / task card
Scribe: Writer → the student who is working out the problem with the help of the scribe
Students will take turns being the sage and scribe. The sage, not showing the card, will look at the card and describe the image so that the scribe will be able to draw it out. The scribe will also find the measurement of the missing angle with the help of the sage. Students will switch roles after each card.
Check out these notes in which break down the steps to reading protractors.
Also, check out Protractor Task Cards to help students practice reading angles where the angle starts at 0 degrees.
Where is Waldo Reading Protractors activity is also a fun way for students to practice reading angles.
