What is better than a worksheet but still provides authentic practice of solving for the unknown or missing angle? A SCAVENGER HUNT!
With this scavenger hunt students will practice finding the missing angle within Complementary and Supplementary Angles. The hunt encourages students to write an equation to solve in order to find the missing angle. For example: x + 35 = 90 or x + 120 =180.
With the scavenger hunt students are engaged and excited to answer the problem and then after they solve the problem, they look around the room for the answer. This is fun but also provides a self checking tool, because if they do not see their answer then they are not correct.
I have included a recording sheet as well as an answer key.
I have also included a foldable to help review types of angles and teach complementary and supplementary. Finally I have included an "extra practice" sheet that can be used in class or as homework. The sheet contains 12 problems. I have also included an answer key as well!
