This set is differentiated for students just beginning to identify complete sentences, categorizing sentences as complete, run-on, or fragment, and using conjunctions to combine sentences.
The first activity, for the beginning student, includes 24 tasks cards, a mini anchor chart, sorting sheet, and follow up worksheet. These sentences have a controlled vocabulary and simply ask the student to determine if the group of words is a sentence or not.
The second activity addresses complete, run on, and sentence fragments. To practice the skill, 24 task cards are included along with two different sorting mats, depending on which vocabulary your students use to identify these sentences. A mini anchor chart and follow up recording sheet are provided.
The third activity consists of 24 task cards for using conjunctions, along with a mini anchor chart, sorting sheet, and follow up multiple choice worksheet.
