Help your students to really evaluate their lab work while promoting learning using the Science and Engineering Practices in the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) as well as the Writing Standards for Literacy in History/Social Studies, Science and Technical Subjects (WHST) AND LIMITING THE AMOUNT OF TIME IT TAKES YOU TO GRADE IT!
This package includes everything you need to get your students on track with their lab report writing and keep them improving all year. Check out my bundle on TPT for standard level course writing as well!
All activities in this package are aligned with new common core literacy and NGSS standards.
This is designed for 9-12th grade, but could easily be adapted to 6-8th grade levels.
I am all about improving student literacy and writing, but often feel as science teachers we have the job of teaching curriculum equally difficult to math, setting and cleaning up activities often more complicated or messy than art classes, and grading as many papers and reports as an English teacher! While we cannot really change all of that- and we do what we do because we love it- I have found tricks to limit grading time while improving student understanding, skills, and work quality.
