Thank you for your purchase and for your question. The flash cards and timed tests correlate with each other (you will see a capital letter that corresponds to each; for example, The "F" test consists of 0+4, 4+0, 0+5, and 5+0. The "F" flashcards are the exact same facts.
Benchmark tests, on the other hand are used to assess kids' progress over time, to show growth; definitely not daily or weekly. So, I'd start out with giving a benchmark test very early in the year. Those test results will guide your instructional decisions for the whole class, small groups, or individual tutoring, if you're lucky enough to have parent volunteers or an aide.
Then give the Benchmark tests after each quarter and at then end of the year. The growth you will see can be shared with the kids as well as their parents.
