Is Grammar a Mystery to Your Students? Help them use clues to figure out the rules!
This set of task cards has students examine the differences between correct and incorrect sentences to help guide them to discover what the components of a complete sentence are. By working through it themselves they will retain the information much better than just being asked to memorize a rule.
After discovering the rule students then practice identifying complete and incomplete sentences and fixing the incomplete ones.
Student answer sheets and a teacher answer key are included.
Also included is a PDF Presentation on run-ons and fragments that can be used after the activity to make sure students fully understand the concept.
