Feed the Dragon: A Complete and Incomplete Sentence Sort
This product makes for a fun center to practice determining whether sentences are complete or incomplete.
Students will enjoy feeding the complete sentences to the dragon and will get sentence writing practice as they identify and rewrite the incomplete sentences. To use, simply print the direction sheet, dragon, and cards onto cardstock or laminate. (Cards are provided in three colors to prevent mix-ups if you would like multiple groups of children to work at the same center.) Display the directions at the center, provide paper, pencils, and the cut up cards in a baggie.
Common Core Standards addressed:
*CCS.1.L.1j: Produce and expand complete simple and compound declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory sentences in response to prompts.
*CCS.2.L.1f: Produce, expand, and rearrange complete simple and compound sentences.
This center is also included in my Comparing Cinderella Stories from Around the Globe
