Students start out reviewing words (tengo hambre, tengo sed, una mesa libre, batido de fresas, merienda/merendar, un bocadillo, enseguida, el cambio, la propina) to then get into pairs or groups of four to organize a conversation from start to finish on the conversation mat.
Then, the teacher reveals the answers to have students check their answers. The students correct any errors and then answer comprehension questions about the conversation.
Next, the students answer questions about their eating preferences to then ask two classmates in mini-interviews.
Finally, students interpret a menu to make predictions about what they and their classmates would order based on the their responses during the interviews.
